• Power School- Parents and students can log into power school to check grades etc.

• Avon Local Schools- Use this website to locate district information, calendars etc.

• Turn It In: Online submission site for all papers in this class. TurnItIn allows peer reviews, plagiarism checks, and instructor comments.

• Project Gutenberg - "Project Gutenberg offers over 36,000 free ebooks to download to your PC, Kindle, Android, iOS, or other portable device. Choose between ePub, Kindle, HTML and simple text formats."

• The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) - A great collection including resources for writing, grammar and mechanics, and styles (MLA, APA, etc).

• Bitesize - Bitesize is an educational website that was created by the BBC to help students in the U.K. meet their learning objectives. There are many language arts games on this site.

• Mortifying Monday - This is a fun, choose your own adventure story created by PBS.

• Make Beliefs Comix - Get creative and make your own comic strips with images and text.

• Online Rhyming Dictionary - Never be caught without the write rhyming word when writing your own poetry or your own rap songs. Just type in a word and you'll get a list of rhyming words with links to definitions.

• Learn Out Loud - Access free audio books of classic works of literature. Available as streaming pod-casts or as downloadable files.

• World History in Context -great research resource (see documents if asked for log in information).
